謝絶 (shazetsu)

彼かれは 面会めんかい 謝絶しゃぜつだ。

He sees no company.

細菌さいきんなどから 隔離かくりするため、 面会めんかい 謝絶しゃぜつとなっています。

In order to isolate him from bacteria, and such, he is not allowed visitors.

彼は重体だということだ. He is said to be [I was told that he is] seriously ill.彼は重体で面会謝絶です. He is so seriously ill that no one is allowed to see him [he is allowed no visitors].嵐の夜、浅茅は死産し重体に陥る。

On a stormy night, Asaji delivered a dead baby and became seriously ill.
